Those darn R’s!!

So my 4-year-old daughter was on the computer playing games, and calls out to me, “Mom, is that gross shit?” (or at least that is what it sounded like) but of course I’m a bit bewildered because how could she possibly have said that? She was speaking very quickly and I know I could not have possibly heard her right. Again, “Mom! Is that gross shit?” followed by, “Mom, is that bullshit?” OK by this time I was hurrying and scurrying my self over to the computer, because I was completely baffled, shocked, and confused, both at what she was trying to say and again because I could not believe I had heard her right. I looked at the screen, and saw that she was playing dress up on Nick Jr., and was asking me, “Mom, is that a girl’s shirt?” and “Mom, is that a boy’s shirt?” Those darn difficult R’s!!
...everything is alright.
