Meet the feathered and furry members of the family! Yes, besides six children, we do have five more beloved members of the family…
So from the eldest to the youngest…
Meet Mack. “I am a beautiful tri-color mountain dog native to Switzerland. I am a good size dog and weigh in about 85-90 lbs. I was so hyper and excited when I was younger and over the last 7 years, have grown to become the best behaved K9 in the household! I am ALL SWEET and always Happy! I just love getting a good scratch and being able to show my people how much I love them, always. I love romping around with my two dog buddies in the backyard. I also love a good rib bone! …And much to my mom’s disliking, I just love rolling around in the dirt outside…daily! And there is not much I dislike…maybe a few choice veggies I could do without.
Meet Leo. “I am one good lookin’ bassett hound dog! I have the signature floppy ears and saggy eyes. Main thing about me is that I don’t take no sh** from anyone. I rule the roost over here. Can you say Alpha Male? That’s me. I will eat all my own food then go after the next guy’s… I have a very loud bark, and can scare anyone with my snarly growl…oh yeah…it says, ‘don’t mess with me, or I’ll mess you up! I love a good scratch from my people. I love a good meaty bone! I like to play with my pals when I’m in the mood to play. I LOVE to lounge and sleep, that’s probably my favorite. Don’t mess with me. Don’t mess with my food. Don’t mess with my bed. Don’t mess with my space. Especially Don’t mess with my nails. I’ve been ruling this roost for a good many years now (goin’ on 10)…Ain’t no one gonna break my stride…..ain’t nothin gonna hold me down…oh no…I got to keep on moving…lalalalala…..
Meet Charlie. “I am cute and ugly depending on who you ask. I am my mom’s shadow…for 6 years now. She probably steps on me 40 times per day and I love every minute of it because there’s nowhere else I’d rather be! I love playing with my dog companions; smelling anything raunchy- oh I love that! Scratching my rear on the table, love that. Oh, I really love barking at my neighbors non-stop…I mean I could do that all day. I actually like barking at the air. I actually just love barking when I’m outside, for any reason, or no reason at all! Is there a special club for loving funky smells? If there is, I am in.”
Meet Lucky. I am a beautiful Citron Crested Cockatoo, and I am still learning about the world. I have a large family with lots of crazy loud kids running around, so I am really socializing alot. I love getting a good blow dry! I love to swing! My favorite activity is utter destruction of anything I can get my beak on and chew up! I hate anything (or anyone) I am not previously familiar with, and anything that moves too quickly. Hate nail trimmings. I can have wild mood swings, wanting nothing to do with my mom in the morning, and loving her to bits come evening. No matter my mood, I am always a “pretty bird”.
Meet Kiwi. “I am a beautiful African Grey Parrot, with my light and dark grey feathers and one striking red tail. I like talking to everyone, but I have a favorite…my mom. I love getting to fly around the house following my mom, into the kitchen, on the cabinet, on the ceiling fan….I just hop around as she moves about. I am brilliant because I can pick up just about any word so I have quite a vocabulary, including: good morning, i love you, hello birds, hi keebuzz (that’s my dad’s nickname for me), and many more. In fact the other day I said “oh I love your earrings.”
And…as if we didn’t already have a house full…meet Bosco. Being a Bullmastiff, this lil’ guy is quickly growing beyond lil’. Not even 6 months old yet and this boy is weighing in about 65 lbs. For a puppy, he is fairly well behaved and has learned pretty quickly (except for that time I caught him on top of the dining room table!) He seems most unable to control himself around food, but is getting better. He’s goofy and a bit clumsy as his body grows larger than his mentality has grown older. He has brought a lot of smiles and laughs into the home, and our pug Charlie has found a playmate. At first, Charlie was so excited to finally have a playmate (his other two dog bros play like old folks, gently and not as often), though now Charlie seems to try to seek refuge from the playing…it’s hard for him to keep up. Overall Bosco has settled into the pack well!

...everything is alright.

Oh all your pets are adorable. So is the one kid I saw. You must have a blessed home, even if it gets a little chaotic.
